1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions are a legal agreement between you and Robert Montgomery ("we", "us", "our"), the provider of the Veridex AI Content Detector service. By using Veridex, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Veridex, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. Continued use of the service after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

3. What we provide

Veridex is a web-based AI content detection tool that estimates how much of any text, image, video, or audio was generated by artificial intelligence. Results are estimates and should not be relied upon as definitive proof.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Using the service for any unlawful purpose or violating any applicable law or regulation.
• Transmitting spam, fraud, or deceptive content.
• Infringing the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempting to interfere with or compromise the security or integrity of the service.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or otherwise extracting data from the service in an unauthorized manner.

5. Intellectual property

Robert Montgomery retains all ownership rights in the Veridex service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the scope of your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works from the service.

6. Service level

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Payment and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. For payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics, please refer to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your Paddle customer portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

8. Account and credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it updated.

9. User content

You retain ownership of any content you submit for analysis. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not retain copies of analyzed content beyond what is necessary to deliver results.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service for: material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our acceptable use policy. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Robert Montgomery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the total amount you paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Robert Montgomery from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Robert Montgomery is domiciled, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
